Finally winter has set in for longer than 2 days at a time...

WEll with the bitter cold coming in the slower pools in the creeks will start to freeze.
Bigum will freeze for sure.
Herrington, Cumblerland, and Dale will be setting stage for the fly run.
I was wanting to fish on Friday, but don't think Ma Nature will obey to well. If by some reason it don't mess up the roads.....I'll be looking into Herrington.

Boat show for sure on Sunday. Dave Stewart and Bill Smith are back to back that day.

Hard to feel too sorry for you guys down there. Sitting at lunch today I was watching the traffic driving back anf forth across the lake.

We are hoping it gets above zero for the high this weekend!!

I've already got my plans to excape and visit Barkley for a week in late March when I can't stand to have the boat parked any longer. Hope I can hold out to then. I've alredy cleaned all my reels twice, re-spoolled al the line, etc. Running out of basement things to do.

I have some friends that are from north Wisconsin and they have a couple of shanties on one of the lakes up there and go up to winter time fish about 4 time a year, They make it sound fun may have to join them on there next trip up. It would be kind of wild to watch the car traffic driving across the lake.
Why wait come on down to fish now it would probly fill like it's in the sixtys to you.LOL

Kentucky Lake is out my back door and looking at the lake, the extremely shallow parts have a very, very thin layer of ice for the first time this year. Winter is here.
