I own neither but I have rode in several of each. The Tritons seem to "walk" more that similar boats. Even after being worked on. To me it seems you have to pay more attention to your driving in a triton.

I had a new 21x w/ 225 opti loaned to me while my LU was being repaird (bearings locked up). Fished a tournament on KY Lake and was really not impressed with the ride at all. We were going with the waves, maybe 2 ft'ers at the most if that, and the boat seemed to get thrown around alot mostly from side to side.....And it was not chime walk. It had the SRS seats as well. I did run the boat on some flat water the day before WOT at 74 gps but I was solo, with no tackle, and 1/4 tank of gas.....no chimewalk.
Dont get me wrong, it was a great boat. I was just not impressed with the ride at all, dissappointed actually.
In my opinion, if you want a sweet riding boat, take a hard look at the Bullet 21xdc. Smooth DRY ride. And if you want a ride in one on KY Lake just let me know.
Seems like I have heard of the triton gime walk. Just wondering about the newer boats? Is there any direrence in a Javelin and a stratos they look the same to me just wondering?
I have owned 2 Tr-20x boats a 05 and a 06. I work for Plapps so I might be a little bias. However I can tell you this, The Triton is the best riding boat I have ever been in Period. I have had the privelage to drive many different boats , but for rough water ride you cant beat a Triton. Yes they do chine walk some, but this is nothing a little seat time and proper set up cant cure. The reason they chine walk is also the reason they ride so well in rough water. If you have any questions Please feel free to give me a call.

Care to explain that one????? Not trying to start any games here but that is an odd statement.
To answer your question, there is not much difference between the Stratos and Javelin. Same designer or something to that effect, cant remember at the moment.
They are nice boats. I have a 21' Skeeter and I think that it rides a little better than a 21' Triton. The Triton has twice the storage room as my Skeeter does. But as far as the ride goes I don't think it is even close. It is just opinion. Someone may disagree with me.
I have a Tr 196 and to me this is the best boat I have ever ridden in as far as performance, riding comfort, safe handling and just down right pure safe and secure boat when riding in rough water. I've owned a Skeeter and a Nitro and ridden in just about every style boat out on the market in the last 20 years of fishing tournaments when I could. But none compare to my Triton, wouldn't ever buy another brand, especially never a Ranger....
msgmills do they ride that much better than a ranger??? Or do you just like a triton alot better than a ranger.
No in my Honest opinion, they ride (Rangers) ride rougher and always seemed to beat me to death, seem alot more heavier as well...All my friends I used to fish with had BassCat's, Stratos, Skeeter's and some Ranger's....Everyone who owned a Ranger bought a Triton, Bullet, or a Skeeter as their next choice of Boats to own...They were just totally turned off with the Ranger's....
MSG the way you went on about that $210.00 reel I got, I figured you for a Bass Tracker! Well I guess everybody gets a little more than thay need sometimes, Oh I think you missed the point about the shipping.
PS: I've got a Ranger, rides great!
No, I didn't go over board with the Boat I purchased, I bought the boat that fit my kind of fishing, safety first and utmost comfort second...I've got over 27 years of fishing experience out of Bass Boats and I would say I'm a pretty good judge on their +'s & -'s....
Now as far as your $210.00 reel goes, I do believe anyone who spends that kind of money on a reel to fish with has their priorities in shadier water than me...Never on the britest day would I ever spend that much on a reel...Your choice not mine, I've caught everything i need to catch on $50.00 reels and quite happy....
i have a 19.6ft stratos 96 model,i fished with many people who run triton, ranger skeeter procraft,i have drove them all and yes the triton takes a little seat time,,the driver has a lot to do with how they ride i think ,find one of each if you are serious, fish out of each one at least a day,in the conditions you fish and decide what you want.My late partner had a 99 tr21,personally i didn't like the solid vibration it had in a 8 in chop,it vibrated extremely bad at ky and barkley in 2 ft waves it was better,i fished in a 520vx last year and loved it.skeeter and nitro i don't like hhow high the seats are and i thought they were rougher riding.jmo,,don't buy until you know what you want,,if i had i would have got the 201 instead of the 295.pro.
