Burnside Island and Conley Bottom as of today are Closed.
I don't have all the details, but I am waiting on a few calls. I don't think anyone is going fishing today, or tomorrow for that matter. But then again there are a few of you out there that are just about as crazy a I am, and a little cold weather never hurt anything, lol.
Just wanted to let everyone know, and I'll post any information that I receive here on fishin.com.
As for the Fishers of Men Event to be held on Feb 17th out of Conley, I am first waiting on a call from Conley Bottom Marina. We then have to see what our options are, and will make a decision by this coming Thursday night. Please look on the Tournaments section of fishin.com for updates. I can be reached via email at [email protected]

Don't take my word for it, but from what I hear, propwash has caused quiet a drop at the end of the ramp, and a Contractor has been called to see what can be done. (2nd hand info!!!!!)
Any info will be posted here, so lets just see what happens. I never dreamed these ramps would be out of the water. You can bet it won't be long till they are fixed, lol. Too much income would be lost. But when this work can be done is the main question!
I made a call to confirm that Burnside was closed, and sure enough, its roped off. A huge drop on the end, but for the life of me I can't remember that drop being there last year, and we were down to 686.
Don
Don,
Do you know if Waitsboro is closed??? Are any ramps between Conley and Burnside open??
Here is the information that I have so far.
Conley, Burnside, Waitsboro, Alligator 2, Pumpkin Creek, Halcombs Landing are all closed.
I'm a little confused about Pumkin Creek, because I thought it went further into the water than Jamestown State Dock, which is reported to be open.
Fall Creek is still open, as well as Grider Hill. No report on Beaver, but it should be open if all information posted on the internet is correct.
Colney is having gravel spread on the end of the ramp. They will also be building a new slap, to be pushed into the water. But I've never seen anyone pour concrete at these temps, and I don't have a confirmed date.
I am sure that many of the ramps that are closed, like Burnside and Pumpkin Creek will be made accessable in the very near future, but if your headed to Cumberland, you might try an alternate ramp.
If anyone in the area has the opportunity to view any of the above ramps, please post pics or a reply so that we can all get a picture of whats going on. The lake level is at 683.6, so we only have a little more than 3 feet to go. At the rate they are pulling it, it should be there by next Monday easily.
Don
I work in Somerset and will be back tomorrow. i will try to make a trip to Burnside island to see whats going on. Will also ask the locals at the Bait shop too.
Information is being posted here as it is made available. I'll do my best to keep everyone informed.
Waitsboro is being worked on this weekend. Should be available soon. As far as calling local bait and tacle shops, or my mobile, the information you will receive is posted here. The phone has been ringing off the hook at many places, (including my mobile) and I am sure they would appreciate all of us hanging tight. It may be a few days or even a few weeks before all of us know exactly what is going on.

What ramps are still open/usable?
I remember hearing an annoucment on the local radio station that the Pumpkin Creek ramp was going to be temporaliy closed. It was announced that ramp was going to be temporily closed even when the water level was still at 690. I was thinking (second hand info) someone told me there was some unstable rocks/rock slides on the road that lead down to the ramp. I will try to find out if the ramp is closed due to low water or a rock slide and get back in touch with you.
Don please check your inbox...and give me a call
Talked to Don a little while ago. Conley Bottom to be back open wednesday Feb. 7th, Waitsboro should be back open wed or thursday, also from Backwaters, Lees Ford is closed as of now as they are working on their ramp, also Halcombs Landing is suppose to be open.
