Hey everyone,

Just wanted to update you guys on the University of Louisville's Collegiate Bass Club, The L-Raisin' Anglers

We're getting geared up for the 2007 season and looking for some ideas on charity work. We're hoping to do some things like "Casting for Kids" but currently do not know who to contact. If you have a charity event and the need for some college guys to help you with it, by all means let me know!

We plan on being at the Bass Pro Shops Spring Fishing Classic March 3rd and 4th to help promote our club and more than likely assist Bass Pro with various things - if you're there, come and say hello!

Four of us are traveling to compete in the Arkansas Tech University Invitational on March 23 & 24. ESPN and the Outdoor Channel have shown interest in possibly covering the event, since it is the largest college tournament to date. Participants include myself, Eric Hickman, Cody Greenwell, and Clayton Mastin. It's going to be held on Lake Dardanelle in Russellville Arkansas. If any of you know ANYTHING about that lake, please let me know! I got a Fishing Hot Spots Map last week and have learned that it's a big dadgum lake! Iit's going to be fun exploring it!

Louisville will also be participating in the highly anticipated College Ultimate Match Fishing! Taping for the show won't be until a little later in the year, but it's sure to be a hit! Keep an eye out for that one!

So far, the year is off to a great start, the only major problem we have is low membership! If you know of any student at the Univesity of Louisville that likes to fish, have them contact me immediately! We have more tournaments than we could ever fish and need more members to represent us at the national level! College angling is booming and starting to get overwhelming (which is a good thing)!

Be sure to keep an eye out at your local boat ramp for flyers advertising our club fundraiser tournament. It hasn't been set in stone just yet, but I'll keep you all posted. Also, Murray State has a fundraiser slated for March 31st. Details of that event are not in stone yet either, but I know it's on Kentucky Lake.

We are open to any suggestions or comments. Thanks to all of those who help support us and may we continue to represent Louisville and the extraordinary fishing community that resides in the great state of Kentucky!

Good luck.....and good fishin' !!!

Regards,

Scott Brown - President
