Louis and clark is a dangerous ramp do to the angle of the ramp in conjuction with the lower dam,and the corp of eng. running different amounts of water there. I use the ramp at the ampitheater by the sherman miton bridge, but stay to the right if you are looking down the ramp, the left side is eroded out do to river current..On down is the 111 boat ramp its big and nice compared to the others but becarefull its out in the middle of know where and I've heard of alot of break ins....hope this helps chuck.

Thank Riverrat. I am not familiar with the area enough to know where the ampitheater or the Sherman Miniton bridge is. Where is this from the Fall Park? Thanks.

The sherman M. bridge is 64 to st louis as you go over it look down to the right and you will see a big yellow tent like structure ...this is the ampitheater.Get off at the 1st exit after the bridge come to the light take a right as soon as you can.You might try map quest for better directions I come from the other way harder to explain I've been going there so long I don't no the names of the roads...its IND.Ones you see the big tent you'll have a good idea were it's at I want to say you go to 10th street. not sure By the way its best to go with someone who knows this area....very dangerous for you and your lower unit! I'm down there every week and can show you the safe way to get all the way to the upper dam if you would like I can meet you down there sometime.Show you some holes ...water level permiting...you can keep up with them @ 775-5056...keep in touch if your interested..Chuck RR12

all the rain should have it screwed up I imagine. I'm thinking about taking the wife down there as soon as we get a warming trend the sauger got to do something. I can't take her on very long trips anymore, cause of her back and babysitter problems. I fished down river from the falls park in the past, there used to be another park and a boat ramp. I haven't been over there lookng around for many years.

Yes, the river is hosed for a bit. Keep your fingers crossed that they run all the water out by next week when they have some high 40's / low 50's forecast. !!

Actually phone says not 18 until Saturday and web still projecting 20.7. Regardless 32 ft of dam on the upper is a bit more stout than I'd prefer. Need it around 16 or less if fishing from boat.
