help fix a broken transducer mount

the trolling motor transducer has both slots broken, prior user didnt put a piece of rubber in between and tightend it too much. this is a garmn unit so the wires both come together at the plug-in. do I have to replace the entire cabel or is something garmin could repair? Or do you have that idea that will save me 70$ and make a secure mount on the trolling or as a last result do you thing a trolling motor mount would shoot through a hull and I just try that?

The transducer should just unscwew @ the mount..All you should have to buy is a new mount...My Garmin came with a transom mount and a trolling motor mount out of the box.

if its just the slots broke where the band passes thru then yes you could glass it in and it will shoot fine thru your hull, for that matter any transducer (transom or puck) glassed or epoxyed in will shoot thru the hull
