I was down at eastport back in the fall. The cabin we stayed in was nice, it was Bear Necessities. We were about 5 minutes from the dock. The dock was nice we rented a covered boat slip and keep the boat in the water the whole time. It was nice going down to the dock and the boat was ready to go and dry. Just unhooked battery charge and off we went. Yes you are pretty far from main lake. About 30 minutes at 60 mph. Heard they have a really nice walleye run end of march first of april at that end of the lake. People who run it are very nice and accomadating. If you want the main lake look somewhere else, if you don't mine being up the river its a pretty nice place to be.
