In another post you said that the Ohio River Freeze-over was 1978-79. I am not disagreeing with you, but are you sure the Ohio River Freeze was the winter of '78-79? The reason I ask is that last week I was talking with a friend and asked him when the BIG FREEZE was and he said he was sure it was the winter of '77-78!! I remember it was in the late seventies but I am not sure of the actual years--I guess it doesn't really matter, just curious.

Now that the subject has come up about lake freeze-0vers, I wish I had logged when previous lake freeze-overs were. I know it has been a long time since the last one but I couldn't be sure when it was. I have trouble remembering when I went fishing the last time, let alone something that happened 10 or 15 years ago.
