That is what it looks like now and until at least next fall. Then the corps will announce it the will keep it the same, lower more or raise the level.
Hey Jim Dicken had me mail some Fishin.com T Shirts over there to you guys. He probably has a name and place they were shipped to if you want it.
You know any folks named Grimes from Stanford?
Lexington TV station says corps announced (did not say when) that they may need to lower lake aonther 30 feet. If this is taken from the original report attached above then this is a misleading statement in my opinion as it was always there and not news today.
If this is something new the corps has announced in the last few days then this is very bad news indeed.

Just to let you all know, I saw on the news tonight that they said they might lower the lake 30 more feet. I have never been on cumberland, I have been going to dale hollow for the past 10 years. I live around pikeville and we have always just went to dale. I just want to say I hope it doesent hurt the FISH and for all of you good people that fish the lake and give great info. I wish you all the best of luck, and maybe things won't get to bad. I also think sometimes we (us fishermen) including big fat ME, worry to much about fishing and saying oh my gosh, what are we going to do if we have to give up some fishing spots or can't go up a cove, creek or might have just have to cancell a trip because of the lake circumstances. I am trying to think as a non die hard fisherman, and what would happen if the dam failed, loss of life, loss of cities and loss of lake, because I just have to admit more times than not I have a tendency to overlook the important things. Good luck and GOD bless.
This could get a lot worse before it gets any better. You just never know if the public is being told the truth about everything, or if the Corp is hyping things up in order to get increased funding. I sure hope the latter is not the case, cause it seems like to me, in most cases, when the federal govt. gets involved in a situation like this, the losers wind up being the people they are most trying to help. I sure hope they know what they are doing though.
30 more feet could be real interesting.........![]()
