KY Lake First Week in April, Need Help.

Taking my 6yo son on his first major fishing trip the first week of April. Fishing the Blood River aera. Any tips for catching crappie. I asked for help on Green River and got some excellent advise which made a 6yo very happy. Also will be fishing for catfish. Thanks.

I'm not a very good crappie fisherman, but sometimes when we are bass fishing out of Irvine Cobb we see lots of boats on Blood River catching crappie. The channel is crooked and full of brushpiles. Just pay attention to where the boats are cluttered, and troll rooster tails or roadrunners slowly. Pink is a good color.

Find some yellow flowers and drag split shot 4" worms, or split shot baby brush hogs, or even shaky heads through them and you're sure to catch some bass! I love yellow flowers!!!
