Man my trolling motor string broke in the down locked position today and I must say Motor Guide did'nt make it easy to unlock without the string. Had to completely remove and totally take apart. What a fun day!

It looked as though over time the string wore thin so I took a rat tail file and rounded the string hole edge through the frame. I might go ahead and get some of that lawnmower cord.
