It's a shame, the barge that was damaged, must have been only a single skin barge container. I'm not for sure when the law was enacted or the Bill relating to the skins on a barge. But I know after a certain year all barges are supposed to be double skinned, to keep such a thing from happening... I worked at JeffBoat building these barges for 3 years and my sister was a pipe welder there for 10 years....If you want to check on something follow up to see if all the barges are still being required to be double skinned....
