The low water has revealed old coffins made of wooden planks. There are quite a few above the water line.
The official Corp web site states that the remains in the coffins were relocated prior to flooding what is now the lake but the coffins were left behind. It appears that they were left positioned as buried by the geometrical layout (guess). Seems like an 0dd place for a grave yard until you think about the area before the lake. The boxes were placed on the side of a hill at the end of a ridge extending out to the to the cliffs that look up the Cumberland River. The boxes are in line with the River channel. A good view.
