lowrance software sharing????

I got my 2 units sharing waypoints, but how do i get them to share mapping software. I used the lowrance net cables to set them up.

called lowrance service and support tech (NO HELP) the person I got was'nt even aware that you could share waypoints between two units.
I think it can be done because i read about it in a post ....any help would be greatly appreciated........Thanks KP

Just got my 2 Lowrance units. Haven't hooked them up yet. How are you sharing waypoinys between them?

There is a box you have to put an X in called (share way points). Can't remeber exactly how to get to it right now I'll look tomorrow. Then set your units up to send and receive data.

Unit 1: menu,menu,system setup,communication port,buad rate to 9600, X in NMEA 0183 ouput
Unit 2: menu,menu,system setup, communication port,buad rate to 9600,X in NMEA 0183 input
I'm woking on getting them to share mapping cards.They say its not possible,but if there's a will, there's a way............KP

Thnaks!!!! I plan to install them next week. I'm actually coming down to fish Barkley in a couple of weeks. Cabin fever sets in pretty hard by this time of the winter here in Northern Wisconsin. Cleaned another 15"+ from the driveway tonight. I have snow banks taller than my truck!

I plan to drive down (13 hrs)for the BASS weekend series event on 3/25 on Barkley.
