I did not get to go this weekend. I hope to make it in the middle of the week. Maybe they will generous to let a special deal extend it's time frame. I have 1 Johnny Morris and love it...I would like to buy the extreme combo for $69...sounds like a great deal. I have never used the extreme though. I have heard it is a great reel for the money.

I don't want to spend over $100, but it is Christmas at BPS!!! I love it that my bday falls right before the big sale!

No offense fellas but I think I have you all beat when it comes to OVERSPENDING at Bass Pro. Memorial Day 2003, my wife and I went to the Cincy store to buy a couple of rods, reels and misc stuff to pond fish with. We had went fishing the day before and 2 of my reels broke, they were not very good in the first place. After buying what we went for, I ventured to the Little Boys Room before heading back to Frankfort. This happens to take me thru the boat center and I come out of the bathroom, my wife is talking to a salesman about a boat. Now I have the Salesman and my wife trying to convince me to buy a boat. I have never owned a boat, we had never spoke of a boat, I had no intentions of buying a boat. I left the store 2 hours later after buying a Brand New Tracker Pro V 17 with a 90 Merc. The absolute mose expensive pi$$ that I have ever taken in my life. Went in planning on spending a couple of hundred, left spending $17,000. Needless to say I exceeded the initial spending budget just a bit but I do have an ACE in the hole every time I want to go fishing. I just tell my wife that SHE was the one that talked me into buying my boat and it is a shame to let it sit in the garage and not get used after we paid all that money.

Just got back, and the last post has me beat, I did get 1 of the $69.00 combos now I just need to go out and use it!!!! However my wife is responsible for us buying our boat 2 yrs. ago, and the darndest thing is she can't swim and is allergic to fish. I love her anyway!!!!
P.S. I had to say that she is sitting here reading this as I type
