I just got back myself. I have to apologize; apparently it was #3 that was stocked. We caught two trout. A guy fishing next to me caught a tiny little crappie; said he had caught some nice ones last year. It didn't look like anybody was exactly tearin' 'em up. There was one guy up in a corner of the lake, at the opposite end from the dam, who caught several trout, but I don't know what he was using.
My first time trout fishing in Louisville was last fall at Miles, about a week after the September stocking, and I'm tellin' ya, the action was fast! I'm not exaggerating when I say you could catch a limit in an hour or two. And my girlfriend caught three small bass and a decent trout out of there just last week. And get this, the web site of the Urban Fishing Program says that last fall they actually stocked HYBRID BASS in there!

Good info. I might go give it a try tomorrow afternoon and see how it goes. I've never caught a trout, but I'd like to!
No wonder. I know that trout try to surface a lot, and I didnt see a single one surface today. Now I know why. That blasted lake I was fishin today probally didnt have a darn fish in it!
Can anyone fish these lakes? Do you need a special permit? Where they located?
Wouldn't mine throwin a line or two myself.
Anyone can fish these lakes, they are a part of Uncle Jerry's Metro Amusement Park System. Fisherman's is located off Old Heady Road. When you get off at the Taylorsville Rd exit of the Snyder, turn as if you are headed toward Taylorsville. The first road on your right is "New Hopewell Road". Follow this road back till you hit Old Heady Road after about 2 miles and the 100th sharp turn.Fisherman's is on the right. It is a collection of about 6 small lakes with good access.
Miles Park is directly across of the enterence of Valhala Golf Club on a hill overlooking Floyd's Fork. You go east on US 60 from the Snyder interchange about 3 miles down. Miles is just like fishermans, a collection of lakes with good access. Lake 5 is stocked at Miles.
