Laurel is in its own an aquired taste. Kind of like sushi LOL. This time of year fishing can be really tough. If the warming trend continues and the water can get up in the 50's you can look to start throwing deep cranks around the ledges and deep points. I like anything red and me and my partner done well off of them last year. Line creek up to craigs creek are good. Also look for submerged boulders . You will know what I'm talking about when you see them. Keep the jerkbaits handy and again it depends on the water temp and how fast it climbs. Laurel can be really rough but I have had days where I could put 20lbs in the boat and not a single bite the next day. Hope you also like trout for this time of year they really like those cranks as well. Good look on you trip I be out there in a day or two and let you know how the bite is.
