Agree...if most Americans TRULY understood and or witnessed the kind of sacrifices our young men and women in arms make every day I am sure they would be in awe. And just maybe it would help us as a nation continue to find ways to make life easier on these folks when they hang up their spurs and come home.

IMHO.....there are just too few Americans that TRULY understand what these folks in arms have done and do everyday, and so can't concieve of the real debt we owe them.

If not for the guys that volunteer to join the US Military and defend our country old guys like me would have to do it.

So I'm very thankful that the young men and women volunteer to work in our Armed Forces. Without them we would be vulnerable to attack from other countries.

But I sometimes wonder what our leaders are doing by sending these wonderful young men and women into harms way. Some of the last few wars could have been avoided IMHO. Some were necessary IMHO. The time when Bush Sr sent the troops into Kuwait to repel the Iraqi Army was the right decision.

The troops just do what they are ordered to do. That is what they are trained to do. And we should support these men and women when they return home again. They should be given good jobs and a roof over their head. They should be given the money to get educated too. The VETs should be well treated not taken advantage of by the VA health care system too.
