For the millions and millions of you awaiting my first on the water report for 2007 well here it is.
Temp was 45-46 slight stain with a visibility of about 1- 1.5'.
Windy with quite a bit of debris on the surface.
I did not fish very long due to other obligations, but I did not boat a fish.
I threw 2 jigs and a jerk bait with no takers. There were a ton of dieing shad anything from 3"-12", I figured any active fish were feeding on these or had already fed on them, some shad were bleeding or at least had red blotches on them.
I would like to here some input on what you guys think is causing the die off, my opinion is the cold nights. The water temps on the surface are actually a couple of degrees cooler than the temp is several feet down this may be playing a part.
The recent heavy rains and high water has shifted some logs and deposited them just under the suface be aware of these and take it easy the first trip or 2 up the creek. I only fished to Rockyshores so I'm not sure what changes have occured on up.

Supposed to be upper 50's and sunny and the wind looks lighter. Billy, I'd almost start the day down where we ended it...
