Watauga Lake

Renting a cabin down on Watauga Lake the end of April and was wondering if anyone can help me out with some info on this lake. Going after walleye and smallies. Also heard there were lake trout in there, anyone caught one?
Not looking for hoeny holes just some general info.

It's a pretty lake, but it can be tough to say the least. It does have trout and more people target them than bass. The water is very clear. It has smallies, largemouth, and spots. In late april you should be able to catch some bass on top in the mornings and late evenings. The fish shuld be trying to start their spawn by then. Mid day bite is tough if the sky is clear. I'm no help on the walleyes.... If I catch one it is usually a nice surprise.
