Island Lake Peabody ???

Has or does anyone fis island lake at pebodyWMA? I am fishing there next sunday with a freind and i cant find hardly any info on this lake. Just curious about the fishing there. thanks for any info,

Island lake is one of the bigger lakes over there at Peabody (from what I can gather). I think it is one of the lakes that is closed from October through mid or end March because of the bird habitat. So the fish should be hungry!! Water was still 49-50 deg as of Friday. We fished one of the ponds right down from island lake. Our only competition were some crappie fisherman. I'd throw a suspending jerk bait. Water is still muddy, the further along in the season the clearer the water gets, but some color to it right now.
