Daylight Savings Time & MS Windows XP

OK I noticed that my computer's time has somehow already changed to Daylight Savings time here in Southern IN. I thought that the MS Software was not keeping up with the changes that occurred in Washington, D.C. But evidently I was wrong. Some in the press were making a big deal about how the computers would all be off by one hour as we switched to DST three weeks earlier this year.

Evidently my Windows XP or my Internet Explorer secretly downloaded a new patch that made my computer switch to DST three weeks early. I am good to go.

Just in case some of you guys are using the computer's time as an alarm clock to go fishing you may want to make sure that your computer times is right. I was expecting to have to manually adjust my computers clock this morning but was surprised to see that it's clock had already sprung forward by one hour.

Spring Forward and fall Back. This time of the year we spring the clocks forward by one hour. So don't be late.

Your computer was probably updated to the internet time, if your puter was connected it get changed. Most likely your ISP provided the patch.

Evidently MS added an update to my computer OS automatically since I am signed up to get updates routinely.
