Wacked'em Saturday...

I was in a pond but hey that counts at least for the winter blahs doesn't it? I figured out after about 20 minutes that they were in extremely skinny water and went to swimming a black and blue 1/4oz. jig and a Baby 1 minus crankbait. Ended up catching 15 with 11 keepers ranging from 13 1/2 inches up to one a little over 4lb. Most everything was in the 15 to 17 inch range, it was alot of fun. I caught every bass in less than 3 feet of water and most were in less than 1 foot of water. Pond about 1 and half acres and slightly to moderately stained. Man it felt good to fight some fish, now that I've got a tune up on those ole green trash bass I can go get my 8lb smalljaw. Lookout big girl I'm coming for ya.

Wormy I had to get my hookset back in swing so that big Brown fish won't catch me napping, LOL. Ahhh I can hear the drag now..

That's great! It always counts when your having fun. I seem to remember you hitting a pond last year about this time, same one??? Your a lucky man!!

We all need some practice after the slow winter bite. No better place to jack a few jaws than a pond!!! I hope to set the hook several times tomorrow at Cedar. Anyone else going to be there? We'll be in a blue/silver WINNER. May see ya!

Same here mhall. I fished deep in a pond, started flipping isolated cover(willows) close to the bank and whacked a few! Felt good!
