I fished Little River Saturday afternoon and the water conditions were pretty good. Water color slightly stained and the temps were 48 - 52. But fishing was tough on Saturday. The water peaked at nearly 3' above winter pool Friday when the water level started dropping. That with the front going through Saturday made for slow fishing. We only caught 7 fishing all day although my dad did get a 20" LM. I am sure things will improve soon. I hope to get back down in the next week or two.

I fished it Sunday and the water temp was hovering around 50 with the water slightly stained. I didn't see many signs of shad or baitfish. I cranked and jerked it pretty hard with no luck. I packed up and made the run to Ky Lake where the water was clearer and ended up with MUCH better results!![]()
We fished KY Friday afternoon with better results also. Didn't burn them up by any means but had pretty decent action on bass with jerks/cranks and even tapped a few crappie at dark for supper. But we couldn't even get a sniff on crappie at Barkley and the bass were really slow all day. We also fished south on Barkley and the baitfish are coming into the bays but they were mostly towards the mouth of the bays. I just think the early spring movements are just getting started and it will only improve each day as the temperatures rise and the fish settle in the bays.
