If I were to go right now...I'd have to make sure I was using shiners fishing points and cuts deep! Bluff walls with channel bends would be a must.
It will be tough..I would bet BUT, you may get some real hogs too.
If the water temp is even close to 50..don't be afraid to throw cranks and spinners up on the flats.

Doubt you'll have many telling you to avoid a trip to the lake. People on here got the disease bad and they'll go fishing anytime they can. Would I go to Dale for a few days this week if I could get away with it? Yessir sure would.

I live here on the lake (sign says 10 miles), fished last friday found any kind of water i wanted, clear main lake muddy up by wisdom dock clearing in the back end, mud line came out to about fannys branch and big water 51 degrees state dock b4 this heat wave Id say 53 54 easy now.

i fished for wall eye no luck but unless something strange happend you can find the water color you want all to your advantage here.

dont know how well you know the lake, for what its worth we are another 10 days from picking a bank and just crankin in fish, but if you know the details there are some good ones ready today, I would go the shinner route for sure.

I leave in the morning with 2 guides from here to hit Guntersville

Dale Hollow muddy,,,,now that is funny right there. Maybe some of the creeks but not the main lake.
