Guist can be a good big bass producer in the early spring but with the hard freeze over that we had I would suspect water temps are still very low. Rough can also be good this time of year. Flip a coin and take a chance, it's a crap shoot.

Planning on taking the day off tomorrow and was wanting some opinions on where to go. Looking for someplace close and decide on either Guist or Rough River. What do you guys and gals think? I live smack dab in the middle of both, but not sure on whick one I should go to. Let me know what you think...

I'd go to Guist Creek, If I had to pick....
Guist would be my pick to, It's smaller and will warm quicker espesially if we get a warm rain tonight. And like mark H said in an earlier post them fish might be shallow up in the creek channels with the warm rain water...
Guist was muddy and 46-48 degrees on Sunday. Didn't get a bite, but didn't fish long.
Rough was a dead sea on sunday...stained and anywhere from 46 to 50
Fished Rough yesterday[tuesday] it was not a good day. Caught one short fish. Aggie
