I dont know if he is a moron or not lets see most of you out there bust your rears for about 30,000 a year + probably some over time. If you saw a chance to make a little money like that would you? The way i see it all of you are the morons because he found a way through bass fishing to make a living. As a matter of fact he made a living doing it and then is prabably making more money than youll ever see doing fishing shows and commercials like that! AND YOUR CALLING HIM A MORON!

You haven't been on here long so you may have missed the thread where many posted what they did for a living. Before you toss around how much money most bust their rear for, think it over. There's a lot of talented and well paid people on here. Everything from Enginerd types to medical pros.

I'm sure at your lofty salary you've learned what assuming makes you.

Naw dude ive been on here before my name was mfishyboy when they changed the board it wouldnt let me log in. I dont care about making friends and as far as calling one of my fellow members a moron it was is no different than them calling him a moron. Was it? correct me if im wrong.
Im not getting all tore up over this, I am just setting here as calm as can be at work just saying people should think before they speak or type whatever formality it is because more than likely it is them who is the moron.

I work with numerous engineers, and I must say, you fit the mold to a tee; an arrogant jack-a**. Most, and I am assuming you fall in this category, don't know their rear-end from a hole in the ground. There is not a direct correlation between the amount of money you bring home and your intellectual capabilities, your post proves that to all of us. I have half the formal education of those with whom I work (at least in that chosen field) and still manage to make a decent living. It would be wise if you were to come down from your high horse and learn a little humility. Just because your professors or underlings blew sunshine up you rear doesn't mean that they were telling you the truth. While I'm quite sure that you are competent in what you do, I would wager that you are a MORON when it comes to things such literature, history, politics, and yes, even the outdoors. You didn't design/engineer that masterpiece of modern angling that Mr. Martin is pushing by any chance, did ya?

As for Mr. Martin, he is a dunderhead. I have never liked him mostly because of his arrogance. Every time he gets on the tube, I have to turn it. I think it is only fitting that he has to spend his time hocking plastic pieces of junk to the kiddies on Saturday mornings. I am so glad that someone like him was beaten out by the likes of Rick Clunn for best angler of all time. The only rub is that he came in second. What a dork.

I am a civil engineer for a consulting firm in Lex. Thats about all I need to explain. And it doesn't have to be a battle, my original opinion is that Roland Martin is a moron, along with a few other explicatives. I retain the right to call him a moron as you retain the right to call me a moron for saying that. I have come to this conclusion after meeting him and watching his actions for the last five years so Im not running my mouth, Im stating the obvious. And just for the record us "ingeneers" don't make as much as we use to, the frieght train business just isn't what it used to be..............

I work a full forty hour week for a consulting firm where I do small bridge designs for counties throughout the entire state of Indiana, and also portions of Illinois and Kentucky. Yes, I am also in college taking a full course load and will have my Master of Civil Engineering degree in May. Yes, I also travel the country chasing any fish that swims. I live a full throttle, which is the only way to live! Is there anything else you would like to know?

mrobertson, I am still unsure of what point you are trying to make here.....sounds like you need to quit watching Roland, get out of the house, and vent some of your frustrations! There's nothing a little fishing can't cure!
