Fished the hill from 12:30 to 6 p.m. yesterday. Put in at Cookeville dock and fished the falling water river area. Water temps was 54.8 to 60.1 by the time I left. Tough day to say the least, I figured they would be tearing it up. Ended up with one Ky. just shy of 3 lbs. and two bites and that was it. The lake must be turning over on that end of the lake from cane hollow below burgess falls all the way past Johnsons chapel to the big water at the big Island. Dirty striked water every where in the main channel, the pockets, and creeks. In the back of the creeks was the worst with no green tint or stain color any where, solid brown. I finally ran down the lake right before I left and hit a steep deep pocket with chunk rock, out of the dirty water and caught a fish, at least it wasn't a skunk. Wish I had made that move first thing after alittle while of no fish. Threw jerk bait, cranks, jigs, small worms, and ended up with the Ky. on a spinner bait. If your heading to the hill in the next few days, better head toward the lower end for a better bite. Tight lines and be safe...283
