Heck I'm dying to try this lake myself....especially within the next month or so, before it gets really hot.....
How long does it take to get to Cedar from Louisville, and whats the best route to take?
Those guys should be ashamed of themselves. LET THEM GO!!!!! I know Cedar is a Trophy lake but come on. Those were good fish no doubt but y not let them go and catch them 5 years from now when they are 12 lbs? Bass arent good to eat anyway.
I know of 3 more keepers that left the lake last week also.
That's ridiculous!!! Why keep a 20" bass or a 6 pound bass or a 7 pound bass??? IMO, these fish are not trophies and not good to eat. Take some digital pics and let them go!!!
With the pressure Cedar is getting, this lake will be average at best in 3-5 years.
You aint seen fishin pressure til you see Cedar Creek on a pretty Saturday in April or May. I live close and love the lake but man, every hole will have a boat sitting in it.
You are so right, can you say Taylorsville lake part two the sequel. The only way Kentucky will ever have a TRUE trophy lake is to either have it all catch and release, then the meathogs will still take their share illegally. Or make the size limit huge say like 25 or 26 inches and up. Why kill a six pound bass, I don't get it..................
I would love to see a 25 inch limit put on Cedar --You are so right, can you say Taylorsville lake part two the sequel. Depends on "where" in Louisville you are located, but ......
Here's what Mapquest says :
From Louisville to Frankfort to Danville to Stanford ... 2hrs +/- (lake is on US 150 - between Stanford and Crab Orchard ... about 7-8miles past the 27/150 4way stoplight intersection)
Or you could go down 31 to Bardstown, then 150 straight to the lake.
Mapquest usually configures routes, by using the major interstate highways as much as possible. The Bardstown to Stanford (150) route looks less complicated, but it is on rural highway roads .. so the speed limit factor comes into play, and may take you a little longer.

I don't know George, but if you figure it out I'm on board. I'd love to see the laws get stiff all over on the bass, I know the tourney guys are against this but I'd love to see it. I love the slot thing just look at what it's done for Dale.
If ya put a slot on Cedar then they would be having 2 or 3 tournaments a weekend. All they need is legal keepers. This little lake is already gettin to much pressure.
