How long does it take to get to Cedar from Louisville, and whats the best route to take?

Depends on "where" in Louisville you are located, but ......

Here's what Mapquest says :
From Louisville to Frankfort to Danville to Stanford ... 2hrs +/- (lake is on US 150 - between Stanford and Crab Orchard ... about 7-8miles past the 27/150 4way stoplight intersection)

Or you could go down 31 to Bardstown, then 150 straight to the lake.

Mapquest usually configures routes, by using the major interstate highways as much as possible. The Bardstown to Stanford (150) route looks less complicated, but it is on rural highway roads .. so the speed limit factor comes into play, and may take you a little longer.
