has any body been to brush creek yet???
Went last saturday and Tuesday. Water was 43 on Sat. and 49 Tuesday. Didn't have a bite either time. Every boat I talked to had the same results...
how is the ramp heard it was a jungle there........
It is a mess... There is a crap load of brush right in front of the ramp...Where the water was down, every where that was out of the water is just full of brush now, it is really hard to fish. I was using a jig and would get hung basically every cast.
after all it is called BRUSH creek. Now we know why
Went on 3/11 and 3/18. Fished from daybreak til 2:00 PM both days. Totaled two hits, one fish boated at 13 inches.
is it hard to get around the brush at the ramp??
I haven't been there in ages...even though it's just down the road. How bad are the launching conditions there? Is it pretty much limited to small rigs or can you get a 17' bass boat through there? I've never had a full-sized boat up there, but I seem to remember that it was pretty shallow in that cove, even before they lowered it.
No problem with the 17 foot bass boat, some of the brush has been cleared away. Several "Stobs" but they bend over. You won't have any problem getting to deeper water.
Remember it's electric only. last week the water was still kinda muddy, about 5 boats were out on the lake.
I didn't talk to anyone Just checking how it looked. Everything looks real good from the ramp area.

Hit Brush Tuesday and was'nt doing any good at all besides an 8 incher until about 5:00 and lo and behold we stumbled onto a few. Ended up with 3 in the boat... 2 around 5 and 1 over 7lbs. And yes I can guess the weight of a bass pretty good. Although I could be off an once or two. Spinnerbaits on the bare flats right under the surface...pretty unbelievable for 49-50 degree water. That was the first time I had been to Brush in probably 10 yrs. I'm sure it wont be the last.
Brushcreek Is one of the best Bass and Pan fish bodies of water in Southern Ind.
