I am most likely going to be fishing Cataract for the first time Friday, March 30th. Never been there before but hear the water is really high right now. How do you think this will effect the fishing? Will it still be worth going for bass or should I look to go elsewhere? Any patterns to look for, types of bait, colors, or structure anyone can fill me in on for this lake? Thanks for any help you can give me.

I have had some luck there, but it is a tough one! If you catch one keeper consider yourself lucky. However, like any lake, if you catch it right you may have some fun. I have had only three or four good bass fishing experiences on that lake. Two of them took place when the water was up 10 plus feet. It was pre-spawn/spawn. Caught fish on the outside edge of the flooded willows with spinnerbaits and a couple were caught on beds. If the water is up and muddy, you are in trouble.
The other good times were in the summer carolina rigging.
