Last Thursday the Water temp was 50 to 51 depending where you are at. The water was extremely muddy in the river section but clear from flatwoods to the dam. I would expect the water to warm quickly now with the warm days and nights. The crankin should be getting just about right if I was guessing.
Don't know if this will help you because it is a week old...Put in at Holly Bay around lunchtime, water temp. was 46.3 on the face of the dam. By 5pm. water temps. were 48.4 in the same area. Super clear water color. Tried several things to catch some walleye, but I'm assuming they are on the nest already because I saw 5 walleye in less than 2 ft. of water..Biggest one was around 10lbs. the others were from 6lbs to 3 or 4lbs. I'll bet I threw everything but my girlfriend at them and no takers. I did catch 2 nice 14' trout and a black crappie on nightcrawlers fishing about 5-7ft. deep.
My dad went yesterday and he said water temp was 55-56.
