why don't you skip fuses all together and use the breaker style panels? just put 1 main fuse on the hot.overtons and west marine all carry them i think.
Thanks for the suggestions. I will check into both of them.
I put a glass fuse "block" in my pontoon boat. I completely did away with all the inline fuses. By having the block, you can shine a flashlight on all the fuses at once and know immediately which one is out. I even put labels beside each fuse so I know what goes to what. Radio Shack has them. Inline fuses are definitely a hassle, especially if you have a bunch of them!
Thanks, but no thanks on that glass fuse panel. That is what I'm doing away with. Ours is also labeled but that doesn't keep the female disconnects from jiggling loose. And boy is it in a tight spot. Sometimes the problem is the accessory connection itself, and sometimes it's the acc switch or master switch connection. Just want to completely do away with female quick disconnects, and the only glass fuse panel I have found is the type with these connectors. I've seen some of the automotive style before that had screw-in and some that had push-in, but I can't seem to find them on a shelf anymore. Seems like it's a special order thing now. I would like to find a place that stocks them so that if I mess up and get the wrong one, I can return it without paying any kind of re-stocking fee. Going to check at BPS in the morning and maybe a couple other boat shops if they don't have them. Thanks for all of your suggestions. Always someone on here willing to help. Makes me feel good to be a part of such a (most of the time) friendly and helpful community. Fishin.com is awesome. Hope to fish with some of you folks some day.
