    Talking Skunked on Cedar Creek

Cedar Creek was really busy today, My oldest son caught 1 bass on a pumpkinseed jig and craw (approx 2 pounds) as for me and my other son we caught a couple of real nice tree limbs! Still had alot of fun just being with them

I have to say I wasn't marking fish like I did last year, all I can think of is that there pattern has changed from last spring?

    just my opinion.

with all the publicity, hype, and playup, i believe this lake will be overfished by the end of the summer. forget it on the weekends. not to mention the illegal take-outs that seem to have been occurring quite often.

oh well, it was indeed fun while it lasted.

i dont go there all that much because of the reasons you all mentioned about the number of boats and i'm certainly not an expert but i think with the pressure it gets that you should'nt be aloud to keep any bass! and the KDFW should strickly enforce it. just my opinion !!!! ? how many times have any of you guys been there and seen a warden????? just wondering , me never...........

if you fished the t-ville when it first was opened you could have some awesome days,as word got out and pressure got extreme..from day one,it was down hill from there,i was only 14 years and even i had a few days with my uncle where i had more than one 5lber and he wore them out, with an old brown jig and #11 frog all we used.I have heard in the years that people were putting trap doors in boat bottoms and filling coolers in there trucks and taking 20 or more a day, that's here say but the fishin now i believe it.

I Have Never Been To Cedar Creek. I Live Approx An Hour And A Half Away. I Work With Several People That Live Close To The Lake Though. I Know Several People That Have Fished The Lake And Kept Bass Under The Limit, And Over The Limit, To Eat Them. I Personally Do Not Eat Bass. They Are A Competitors Fish, A Tourney Fish, A Sport Fish. Say What You Will, But Bass Eatin Doesn't Turn Me On. That Is What Crappie, Walley, And Bluegill Are For If You Can Take Time Out Of Bassin To Fish For Them. But Nevertheless This Has Stopped Me From Traveling To This Lake. Hopefully This Will Stop With Some Strict State Enforcement. The Lake Sounds To Have Unlimited Potential, But Until These Idiots Quit Eating The Trophies, I Will Continue To Fish Other Lakes!!!! Keep Them Lines Wet!

Don't fret the bass are still there. I caught a lot of fish over 4 lbs this winter including a 5/15 and a 7. So far this spring (Wednesday) I had two just shy of 4 and a 6.1 the fish are moving now and for me they are getting hard to locate. Yesterday(Friday)I caught two 3's and 7 dinks. In the main creeks I saw several fish in the 3-5 lb range suspended right in the tops of the channel line trees. I showed them everything but my lunch and couldn't get a hit.

I made three trips not long ago and didn't put a fish in the boat only to come home and read on the board where biggw or wormin had worn them out.
Don't give up, they are still there.

March 2007 was nothing like March 2005 and 2006. I've been to CC 3 times this March. We've caught a few nice fish (biggest being a 5.8) but it ain't what it use to be.

I'll probably hit CC 1 or 2 more times then I'll be done with it for the year. Also, going on a Sat or Sun is ridiculous!!! That lake is packed when I go during the week. I can't imagine what the weekends look like.

    Re: Skunked on Cedar Creek

Problem solved-All the state needs to do is put the size limit up to 25 inch-Now put on the big fine-for each fish that is took out of the lake it will be $100.00 for each inch under size--THAT will make some people think long and hard about trying to leave with some............Worth trying
