I was catching small crappie left and right at the bridge by northfork. Caught them at about 4 ft. Lots of boats up towards Tules Creek also. Everybody was catching them. Surface temp was 65 at the ramp at northfork. Hope this helps!!

Any one have any luck at Rough This weekend? I was thinking of making a mid week trip and wanted to know if the crappie bite is on and what the water temp is.
Thanks in advance!

My brother and I fished Rough yesterday, and the fishing was just that, rough. Saw alot of folke (and I mean ALOT of folks) down there fishing for crappie and most seemed to be doing quite well with live minnows in about 6' of water. We were bassfishing and couldnt buy a bite with a 100$ bill. Talked to a few fishemen at the ramp (Northfork) and all had the same luck, none. A few said that they cought a couple of small ones. Its got to turn on sooner or later, too bad it appears to be later. Oh ya..... water was murkey (1' or less visability) and temps running from 60 on the main lake to 66 in the backs of the creeks.
Let us know how you do...
Keep on chuckin'
Will do. Thank you guys for the information.
I fished Rough on sunday, caught lots of small crappie on minnows back in Tules creek and up past standing islan in about 4 foot of water. only 2 keepers. Was told by a friend that they caught some bigger ones over by cave creek on main lake banks using minnows
Fished a Club tournament on Sunday. 11.21lbs 1st place. We had 5 that went 9.59lbs. SR5 shad rap and rattle trap. Caught 3 big crappie in Tules on the shad rap. Big fish was 5.65 on a shallow red Lucky Craft crankbail in South Fork.
