Haven't tried the KVD stuff but have been using Reel Magic and like it. I just soak a rag in it and re-spool my line holding the rag as a line tensioner. Takes all the chalk off as it conditions it.

Guys if you haven't tried this stuff yet, pick you up a bottle, I love it. Cuts way back on line memory, also makes the line peel off the spool smoooooth. Try it I think you'll like it. I have no interset in this product financially just trying to help a brother out.

tracker35 ---great tip......
I use the KVD spray for my reels, works great...
I use the KVD stuff too and it definately helps out a lot!
I use Reel Magic on my line and spinner bait/jig skirts. Do you think that it leaves a residue or sent behind that the fish could pick up on? Thanks Ryan.
I think Reel Magic is a silicone base, the KVD stuff isn't, so I'm not sure but good question. I don't feel I'm spooking any fish with the line and lure conditioner.
Is it good for all kinds of lines, or just mono?
Any kind, I'm not sure about braid though.
I have used both the Reel magic and KVD and my opinion is that the KVD is the by far better product. I wouldnt EVER spool line onto my spinning outfits without it again. The reel magic did not last nearly as long and seemed to almost make the line worse as it wears off. Just my 2 cents!!
