Bought me a new pair of waders, so I can enjoy some of that creek action this year....Going to try Floyds Fork and a couple of others around here. Might even go back up to Indiana and fish the Little Blue river again for those Brownies and Goggle Eyes I used to catch....

Yeah, id have to say elkhorn is one of my favorite places to fish, if not my favorite. Theres nothing better than wading thru the creek in june catching smallies all day. I like to post up in some spots and sein up a bunch of creek chubs and cast out let em sit there and theres really no tellin what youll catch. Cats, smallies, largies, drum, bluegill, rockbass, the ocasional garr which really ***** and ive even caught a crappie there before. Its a great place to fish and i cant wait to get back. It seems to me though that the algea and moss would still be takin up most the creek. Let me know about that if you read this. Thanks alot. BMNEWT

Yep there was quite a bit of algae on the bottom. Just bump the bottom with your crankbait and your cast was over.

New moss covered most of the rocks in the rapids, but it wasn't very slick. Give it a few days and I'm sure it will be.
