I always thought P Line was SUPER stong versus others, and it is, but it is due to being larger in diameter. I do agree with the Palomoar knot. I use it on EVERYTHING, including C-Rig and FNF leader and never had a problem and also agree that Mono or even Braid is better than Flouro due to it not sinking. You will get better action.
Diameter difference is minor at best.

    Re: P Line Fluroclear?

P Line Flouroclear is a hybrid line which I have fished for years and it works well for topwaters. I do have pure FC on 2 reels and it does sink; one brand much faster then the other.

Diameter to Diameter (not what the package rates the line at), Flouroclear and Yozuri hybrid are the strongest lines I've ever tested and I literially test all lines in my home with weights before I use them. A 12# Floroclear will lift 15lbs of weight off the floor, yozuri hybrid in 10# is the same diameter as the flouroclear will do 15 as well.

I dont' fish the Cxx product much but believe it is even more mis-marked and many of the comments about big diameters come from people that have fished the Pline Cxx and not the Pline Floroclear which is a different beast.

Give the 15# Floroclear a try. Great for many things. 12# Yozuri is another good one and is probably a bit more abrasion resistant. Having fished mono's of all brands for years, I don't see why everyone isn't fishing one of these lines as they are about the same price and perform better in my opionion.
