Nope haven't fished it this year, but I'll check with my Uncle. He lives pretty close to it and I can see if him or any of his buddies have fished it and see if I can give you a report.....

fishing was slow for me at yatesville. i went friday and only had one fish(keeper) and that was it. i had a good one pull off on me, but it was rough.. my brother went tuesday and didn't get a bite and his buddy was out as well and only caught one. now i am no pro fisherman, but i have done well enough out there to know it was tough.there was a big tourney there over the weekend. 14lb. won it 9lb. second and a little over 7 was third according to a friend of mine that fished it. he said only about 20 boats weighed in a fish out of i think he said 83 boats.
Any ideas on water temps, patterns? It does sound tough. This cold front should slow things down that sounds like were just getting started. Lake still low?
Thanks

lake was still at winter pool. water temps were anywhere from 63-69 in the creeks at the end of the day. these were surface temps. i heard they are now starting to hold water. i was told the winners of that tourney caught their fish in the muddy water back in rich creek. if you go back there be careful and dont get out of the channel.
Talked to my uncle who lives in Ashland, he said the water temp was 65, more stained water than any. Fish were being caught on white spinnerbaits and blue jigs. Fish were aggressive enough to bite a crankbait as well. Said fish were holding tight to laydowns and hitting on the spinnerbaits in and around standing timber. Even had a few fish hit topwater Pop-R late in the day. Hope this helps you out some.
Are you talking about through the bridge area up in the shallows?lake was still at winter pool. water temps were anywhere from 63-69 in the creeks at the end of the day. these were surface temps. i heard they are now starting to hold water. i was told the winners of that tourney caught their fish in the muddy water back in rich creek. if you go back there be careful and dont get out of the channel.
