I noticed the last time i was down two weeks ago, that many guides were trolling with their outboards with dipsy divers and only a couple boards on the bank side. they were crusing thru there and i assume they had bucktails on the end of their lines. i have not seen this technique during this time of the year.

is this how u caught your fish. if so how much line do you let off your boards??? how deep on the dipsy's.
My guess is the guides were trolling umbrella rigs. Many are using them now.

I'll bet it was a Gizz 4 behind the Dipsy Diver. It's a shallow running crankbait made by smacktackle.com. Stripers absolutely love them and you can cover more water with them than live bait. LMJ please tell me that you haven't been selling those things to the guides on Cumberland??? I gave a guide one in October, kind of figured he would keep that his own little secret!

A guide that I used back in August gave me one to try out. So I would say the secret is out.

The big question is, is that the secret bait that you are using now to catch the stripers or do you have another secret artificle bait that you are using?
