that's where the shad are, so that's where the fish are. There are a LOT of fish in White Oak.
were you trolling the bucktails.
I noticed the last time i was down two weeks ago, that many guides were trolling with their outboards with dipsy divers and only a couple boards on the bank side. they were crusing thru there and i assume they had bucktails on the end of their lines. i have not seen this technique during this time of the year.
is this how u caught your fish. if so how much line do you let off your boards??? how deep on the dipsy's.
I don't use boards or dipsy divers. I have actually found something that the stripers like better than live bait and I have been catching them year round. It is just a matter of finding them.
Where have you been launching lately?
I've been putting in at Lee's Ford since December and running to White Oak. I can't believe how many fish there are in this area. I would put in at the ramp that I see in White Oak, but I don't know how to get there by road. That would save me some running time. It's on the left as you go up the creek. Anyone have any idea how to get there by road?
My guess is the guides were trolling umbrella rigs. Many are using them now.were you trolling the bucktails.

I'll bet it was a Gizz 4 behind the Dipsy Diver. It's a shallow running crankbait made by smacktackle.com. Stripers absolutely love them and you can cover more water with them than live bait. LMJ please tell me that you haven't been selling those things to the guides on Cumberland??? I gave a guide one in October, kind of figured he would keep that his own little secret!
A guide that I used back in August gave me one to try out. So I would say the secret is out.I'll bet it was a Gizz 4 behind the Dipsy Diver. It's a shallow running crankbait made by smacktackle.com. The big question is, is that the secret bait that you are using now to catch the stripers or do you have another secret artificle bait that you are using?
I would like to know, too.
That would be the bait.
Either I need to fix my temp gauge or I need to try some different areas. I haven't seen anything above 52 for the last couple of weekends.
