I went to Green last week, just before the cold front came through. I put in over around the Dam and every boat I saw was crappie fishing with minnows. I saw them reeling in several. I know this isn't very detailed, but it looked like minnows were producing over around the dam.

A buddy of mine owns one of the floating cabins at the marina and they usually catch crappie just dropping minnows down below the cabin. Its deep water but they usually catch a decent amount of crappie and an occasional catfish.
Thanks guys. Looks like it may rain on us so staying close to the cabin is a good idea. Will let you know how we do.

follow the bank around from the cabins and try all the coves going toward lone valley, the big one that forks has lots of cover in it under the water and some standing timber it was real good.
hey steve i sent you a msg
Again, thanks for all the help. I told the wife and daughters about what you guys said and they are taking the frier and hush puppy mix. If the son-in-law and I can't produce some crappie I'm in major trouble! Oh well, the sea food counter at Food World is alwas a last resort! Just hope they can't tell the difference between crappie and flounder
