found this interesting (Ken Cook Patterns)

Ken Cook has a deal on the web where you enter some factors and he provides patterns for the time of year and the body of water. He has entered the results of many tournaments over the years. I don't have the space to tell all about it, but here is the link:

BTW, it cost money (imagine that!)

Yes, it is very interesting! Man, talk about a very smart idea! The price is very hard to swallow though for us middle class weekend fisherman. If I was buying the info. for a tournament...maybe I would do it. I think I could do $9.99 for any other time.

The future of bass fishing (lures, equipment, information etc.) is changing everyday. Good or bad? You be the judge.

But, one has to wonder with ALL we have now; why hasn't the world record Largemouth been caught legally yet?

So how does a good fisherman in Georgia use a ugly bait, with a horrible rod and reel setup by today's standards, with only maybe 10% of all we know now catch and still hold the record 75 years later?

    Justin,
IMO, it's too bad that they use that fish as the record since it wasn't put through the scrutiny that the other records in sports go through. Look at NASCAR, they have modern day records and the old Petty records. Look at the Smallmouth record and the junk that poor fella had to go through. The bass in California have been so close that i wish they had the biggest bass caught from there as the modern day record. It's more legit than an old story that gets passed down with old pics. I know it's off the original topic a bit ...JMO
