Abu CL3 Reel Repair Question

I have a Abu Garcia CL3 reel that I use as my main reel for heaving Slivers and Redfins at stripers. Last week I was on Laurel using the same for walleye up against the dam when it quit laying the line on the reel from side to side and just stayed in one place. My buddy said it has something to do with the pawl and is an easy fix. Can someone give me some direction on where to have it fixed or where to get the parts, etc..? I'm between Lex and Richmond.

anybody that does reel repais should have them,if you have any other ambassaduers the paws will interchange,if you dont find one let me know i have a few the i can send you one.they are used but work fine i always had them replaced evry year when i was fishing alot just as precautionary measure.now i'm married and the wife won't let me fish so i won't wear many out.turn the reel upside down,take the cap off the levelwind and the pawl is in there be careful to make sure it is in the worm gear gooves when you re install it oil it and you are done 3 minutes tops..private message me your address if you want one.

When was the last time you cleaned it? I have had them do that on me when they get real dirty or get some debris in the worm gear.
