Does anyone know if the courtesy docks down at Northfork are useable? If not where is the closest marina/ramp that I can use with one. I like to use one when I fish alone.

According to the Corps of Engineer site, Rough River is about eight feet below Summer pool. All the Courtesy Docks are solid in place, not floating, and, unless you have very long legs, the only time you can use them is when the water is at Summer pool. If you need a courtsey dock, you probably won't find it at any Corps Ramp on Rough or anywhere else.
I never have figured out why the couldn't have put floating docks in.![]()

I think there is a different Army Corps of Engineers in Tennessee then we have in Kentucky. Most of the ramps I have been to in Tennessee have floating docks and move up and down with water changes. For instance Center Hill has a floating dock at the hurricane bridge that has a track that the Corp can roll up and down as the water fluctuates from winter to summer pool and above. I don't know how much Center Hill changes but I bet it is over 20'. My point is the same launching permit I use on Barren is good at all Corps lakes but not all docks are created equally.

The Ramp at the state park marina has a floating ramp. Let us know how the fish are biting there.
