    Smile Special Thanks

I would like to personally thank a couple of guys who really helped my partner and I out this past weekend at Barkley on Sunday. We had fished all day and stayed in the same area for 7 hours, therefore never starting the big motor. With 35 mintues to go before our weighin we decided to head on in to make the 20 minute run with time to spare. To our surprise, the cranking battery is completely dead. There were 2 guys fishing in Donaldson Creek with us and although they were too fishing a tournament, they took a good 20 minutes out of their time to help us out.

We got the motor started and made it to the ramp with 4 minutes to spare. Thanks to these guys, my partner won the tourney and I finished in 5th including winning big fish with a 5.82lb largemouth.

If the guys who helped us out read this, i want to express my deepest thanks for your assistance. Without your help, we were sunk!

Thank goodness there are still a few good ole boys out there that will lend a hand when someone needs it!

i believe it comes back too.i was fishing a tourney at rough and was up past everleigh, and as always pushing the clock,on the way back just past panther creek 2 guys were fishing with the big engine hood laying on the deck, knowing a little about motors i stopped to see if i could help but it had blown up,i offered to give one of them a ride but they said they would wait for another boat but i hadn't seen any,i went on to weigh in and made it in time,i weighed my fish and went back and pulled them in,finished 4th in that one and then the next weekend had a first and second, those guys said at least 20 boats passed and just waved or just looked,i always at least offer, even pleasure boaters.

I have done the same with helping someone out. I was fun fishing on T-ville and saw a boat with 3 people in it using paddles. I was waiting for my friend to bring the truck to the ramp to load up. I passed a rope and pulled them to the State ramp from Settlers Trace. My partner asked if I had helped them when I was out of the water because it took a while. But as they say No Harm in helping as I may need it 1 day.
