Cumberland Striper Report Friday Night

Fished Thomas Branch and main lake around that area from 9:30 till 4:30am. 5 short fish, one keeper 11Lbs., 2Lb. Kentucky, and an 8Lb. flathead. Shad were up all night but they were scattered on the bank and away from the bank. Threw slivers and redfins- all fish caught on slivers. Talked to some of my buddies today, one was around the dam area-blanked, and the other was in Beaver Creek- one keeper 9lbs. only hit of the night. It feels a little weird not catching a few tree limbs this year with the water drawn down. Good luck and hope this helps a few...

What's a sliver and where can I get them?

Rapala Sliver. Its a thin, jointed plug. Most tackle stores down around Cumberland have them. Might be able to find them closer to where you live too. White with red head.
