Go somewhere else, they don't call it the dead sea for nothing. Every bass in that lake has been soremouthed at least five times. There's about 20 tournaments a week on that mudhole. If you must go fish the standing timber with black and blue jig combos and dark soft plastics. Good luck you are going to need it.

I will be the first to agree with mhall. I live 5 miles from Taylorsville, so I have to go out and remind myself why I hate this lake every once in a while. I picked up a 4lb. 5oz. last Sunday, everything else was short. Green pumpkin lizard. Water was 62. Good luck.

Don't let these guys discourage you, T-ville has a very good LM population, yes they get pressured but to compensate for that you have two options. Grab a jig or plastic and beat the banks off like everyone else and hope you trick one or two into eating it or take a reaction bait and just fly around that lake covering as much water as possible. A bass is a bass no matter how much pressure it gets and if you burn a spinnerbait or CB up to ones nose and kill it or flare the blades, its gonna eat it every time, I like taylorsville, best approach, power fish!

I agree. Its a fun lake. The reaction bite is your best bet. Cover as much water as possible. If you don't loose at least 3 crankbaits your not fishing it close enough to the brush. Good luck

Im not trying to discourage anyone, just trying to inform that there are much better choices not to far away.In a hundred mile radius Taylorsville is by far the worst lake.I dont think anyone could successfully argue that point.

Big sacks at Taylorsville, BAHAWAHABAHAWA, my God I'm still laughing. Some of you pros need to go up there and give all these guys in the tournaments the what for. I mean with a forty boat tourney and three fish getting top prize you should have no problem. When that lake was first impounded it was the bomb, no question about it. Ah but then came 20 tourneys a week for years on end and well it went to hell in a hand basket. This is my take and if ANYBODY can consistently go to that mudhaole and catch five good keepers on a consistent basis you better start fishing for a living. When they had the BASS event there several years back some of the pros were making jokes about there being no fish in the lake. I think Alton Jones won it with three fish. Look don't get me wrong I know there are fish in the lake I've had good days there, but with freaking gas at 3.18 per gallon, I would rather fish a farm pond then deadlorsville. 20 tourneys a week for years= rotten fishing, just my humble opinion.
