i did same thing last year on my 200. be honest haven't thought anymore about it cause speedo isn't right anyway so i dont worry. i guess dropping lower unit is only way for sure? hope you get it out.

i hit a piece of wood the other day & plugged my speed odemeter up on my motor . i took my drill bit i always use to clean it out & start cleaning it out next thing i know it broke off .i've tried blowing it out with air compressor won't budge. any body got any tricks for getting it out? its a merc. 225.
